Why We Require Your GEDCOM Data For Access

Updated: 20 December 2007

We are interested in family history data which is in GEDCOM data format.

I have been collecting surnames for years (since 1957), and have many GEDCOM data files on this GenServ System.

In 1991 I decided to start the GenServ system to allow others from around the world to share their data. From 1991 through 1995 all to that data on this system was free, but in 1996 I started charging a very minimal fee to support this system hardware and software on the Internet and WEB.

My decision to require a GEDCOM data file for access to the system proved correct.

JUST THINK: If I allowed everyone access <<< WITHOUT >>> adding their data . .

Just how much data do you think we would have today ? (for you to see)

Sharing.... sharing...

That is what it is all about.

You share your own personal data with us and we share all the data we have with you.

....That is what we are all about....
