Four Easy Steps to Access GenServ Data

The GenServ System contains an International collection of GEDCOM files submitted by our subscribers.

Membership is based on the idea of
SHARING your family history information
with others via your GEDCOM data.

Loading your GEDCOM data here - is most important.


Four easy steps:

1. Learn about the GEDCOM data file format and create a GEDCOM file with your family tree software.


2. Fill-in and Submit the GenServ Information Request Form on our Web page.



3. Send your GEDCOM file to GenServ.

You will receive confirmation within 24 hours after the your file has been loaded on this system

How to send a file with your BROWSER : Upload your *ASCII* GEDCOM to us.


4. Choose Free Trial Membership or Supporting Membership.


Please do NOT send me a check unless you have send a GEDCOM datafile. Gedcom data is a requirement. I will not deposit your check until a gedcom data file is received and loaded here.

If you do not have a Genealogical program, get one, put in some data, make a gedcom datafile and send it along with a check at that time.

How long untill I will have membersip?

Depends on how you send your GEDCOM file:

E-mail - within 3 days (many times - the same day received)

Postal Mail - About 2-3 weeks

When your GEDCOM file is received, tested and successfully uploaded to the GenServ System - the computer will automatically send you a GenServ ID and instructions about on how to use e-mail to access GenServ data.
